The Garden features some of the best things about my Scribe's home of San Francisco.

[Accolade] PEERS Upcoming Events Ballroom dancing, anyone? The Period Events & Entertainments Re-Creation Society sponsors a dress ball every month. Also, a Gaskell Occasional Dance Society Ball is held annually. It's wise to get a PEERS ticket ahead of time, but Gaskell tickets can be purchased at the door. Following are the Bay Area English Regency Society, the Greater Bay Area Costumer's Guild, and the Edwardian Ball.

[Golden Gate Bridge] Bay Area Transit Information "Muni buses everywhere, but this must be a crime; for though there're buses everywhere, there's never one on time!" This site contains information about the Muni, BART, Caltrain, AC Transit and other services. If you would like to complain about the MUNI bus system, call 415-923-6164. And isn't about time that BART offered all-night service?

[Mask] Callboard Magazine maintains a page of current theater events. There is also a site for the Curran, Golden Gate, and Orpheum Theaters. Tickets.com provices dates and tickets for operas, concerts, and events, plus parking and directions. Ticketmaster also has information on various upcoming concerts.

[Golden Gate Bridge] Chinatown San Francisco is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia. My Scribe often attends the Chinese New Year Parade.

[Golden Gate Bridge] Napa Valley is a lovely place for architectural and natural beauty -- and wine! One of Napa's best features is Castello di Amorosa. Other favorite wineries include Artesa, Black Stallion, Elliston, Inglenook, St. Supery, Trefethen, and V Sattui.

[Paper] Web site of the SF Weekly contains a comprehensive list of things to do, places to go, and what's going on in the Bay Area. 48 Hills talks about local arts and culture. The East Bay Express is the free weekly native to the East Bay, and Inside Bay Area is the online edition of the Oakland Tribune.
